CLEAR ANSWERS BEFORE A COMPLEX DECISION

What does a cardiac second opinion cost?

Four one-time service levels range from $495 to $2,495. Every package includes the same independent cardiac-surgeon and cardiologist review and one co-signed report; the price changes when you add live physician access or concierge support.

WHAT THE WRITTEN REVIEW INCLUDES

The full written review is the starting service level.

Every service level begins with the same two independent physician perspectives and the same co-signed report. You choose a higher tier only when live physician time or pre-surgery access would be useful.

COMPARE THE SERVICE, NOT ONLY THE NUMBER

Six questions explain most price differences.

A lower headline price is not automatically less complete, and a higher price is not automatically more useful. Ask what is actually delivered.

01

Who reviews the case

A single specialist letter and a coordinated surgeon-plus-cardiologist review are not the same service. Compare the number of physicians and whether both sign the conclusion.

02

Written review or live consultation

The written report can stand alone. Adding live physician time changes the service level and the price.

03

Records and imaging support

Ask whether the service helps identify and request missing records, and when its clinical-review clock actually begins.

04

What the deliverable contains

Compare a brief opinion letter with a patient-facing report that organizes risk, evidence, alternatives, unanswered questions, and next steps.

05

Support after the consultation

Some services end when the report or call is complete. Concierge access adds availability before surgery and costs more.

06

Insurance and benefits handling

A direct-pay price is different from an employer-covered benefit or an insurance-billed visit. Ask what documentation the service provides for possible reimbursement.

THE CLOCK STARTS WITH A COMPLETE CASE

Records collection is not hidden inside the 24-hour promise.

Upload what you have. After authorization, the records team can help request what is missing. The clinical-review window begins only when the materials required for the case have been received and confirmed complete.

CARDIAC SECOND-OPINION COST FAQ

What to know before you pay.

Still unsure which level fits? Request a complimentary orientation before choosing a package.

How much does a cardiac second opinion cost?+

WHITEGLOVEMD offers four one-time service levels: Insights™ at $495, Consult at $995, Heart Team at $1,495, and Concierge at $2,495. Every level includes the two-physician written review; live physician access and pre-surgery support change by level. You can purchase directly or request a complimentary call before choosing.

What is included in the written review?+

The WHITEGLOVE Insights™ written review includes independent review of the complete record by a cardiac surgeon and cardiologist, reconciliation of their perspectives, and one co-signed patient-facing report. It does not include a live physician consultation.

Why do some second opinions cost more than others?+

The number and type of specialists, records support, imaging review, report depth, live consultation time, and follow-up access can all change the cost. Compare the full deliverable rather than a headline number alone.

Is a live physician consultation required?+

No. The written review is a complete service on its own. A live consultation is optional and is available at a higher service level with the WHITEGLOVE Consult service.

What does the Consult service level include?+

WHITEGLOVE Consult includes the full two-physician written review and a live consultation with one reviewing physician. The WHITEGLOVE Heart Team service places both reviewing physicians on the consultation together.

When does the 24-hour turnaround begin?+

The 24-hour review window begins only after the records and imaging required for the review have been received and confirmed complete. Records collection time is separate from the clinical-review window.

Do I have to collect the records myself?+

No. Upload what you already have. After authorization, the records team can help identify and request the notes, testing, reports, and imaging needed for the review.

Does insurance cover the service?+

WHITEGLOVEMD is a direct-pay service and does not submit an insurance claim. Services may qualify for HSA, FSA, or HRA reimbursement, but eligibility and documentation requirements depend on the patient’s plan administrator. Itemized receipts can be provided.

Are there facility or per-physician fees?+

There are no separate facility or per-physician fees for the WHITEGLOVEMD service. The one-time package price shown covers the service described for that level. Hospital, treating-clinician, testing, or other outside-care charges are separate.

Does this replace my current surgeon or cardiologist?+

No. WHITEGLOVEMD provides educational decision support and independent medical-record review. The current treating team remains responsible for diagnosis, prescriptions, procedure candidacy, treatment, and emergency care.
