YOUR INDEPENDENT REVIEW

One record. Two specialties. One clear next conversation.

CARDIAC SURGERYCARDIOLOGY

BEFORE THE FIRST INCISION

Four questions deserve more than reassurance.

A useful second opinion does more than repeat the plan. It shows you how the evidence supports it—and where another path may deserve consideration.

01

Is the operation clearly indicated?

See how the diagnosis, symptoms, testing, and proposed plan fit together—and where the record leaves room for a different conclusion.

02

Are there other reasonable paths?

Understand the open surgical, minimally invasive, catheter-based, and medical options that may be relevant to your individual case.

03

What does the risk look like for me?

Review multiple surgical risk models alongside the clinical details those models cannot fully capture, with inputs and limitations made visible.

04

Are the surgeon and center the right fit?

Consider procedure-specific experience, public outcomes data when available, geography, and the practical realities of getting into the right hands.

NATIONWIDE PERSPECTIVE

The right answer is not limited to one hospital.

Your review is independent of the hospital that proposed the procedure. When experience or access matters, the report can help frame a more informed conversation about where to go next.

Meet the physician team

WHITEGLOVE Insights™

A report that makes every page useful.

Your record becomes a clear, patient-facing map of the decision—built from the evidence and reviewed by both members of your Heart Team.

01

Your current clinical picture

The diagnoses, relevant history, testing, and plan already proposed—organized clearly and tied back to the source record.

02

Two specialist perspectives

A cardiac surgeon and cardiologist review the complete record independently, then co-sign one written Heart Team report.

03

Ultra-precise surgical risk profiling

STS PROM, EuroSCORE II, and AATS are considered when applicable, with the assumptions, missing inputs, and limitations shown.

04

Guideline-mapped reasoning

The proposed decision is placed beside current cardiovascular guidelines and the clinical details that make those guidelines relevant.

05

Options, benefits, and tradeoffs

Reasonable surgical, minimally invasive, catheter-based, and medical paths are compared in plain language for your individual case.

06

What may still be missing

Unresolved questions, incomplete workup, and additional studies to consider with your treating team are called out before the next decision.

07

Surgeon and center fit

When relevant, the report considers procedure-specific experience, public outcomes, geography, and access—not reputation alone.

08

Your questions and next steps

A concise handoff for the next conversation with your treating team, your family, or another specialist.

What is a heart surgery second opinion?

It is an independent review of the diagnosis, testing, proposed procedure, alternatives, and surgical risk before you make a final decision. WHITEGLOVEMD provides educational and informational review designed to support—not replace—the relationship with your treating physicians.

Who reviews my case?

Every case is independently reviewed by a cardiac surgeon and a cardiologist. They bring the operating-room and cardiology perspectives together and co-sign one written report.

How quickly will I receive my report?

The 24-hour review window begins after the complete medical record and required imaging have been received. If something is missing, the records team will let you know and can help with collection.

Do I need a referral or need to travel?

No referral is required. The review is completed remotely, so you do not need to travel for the second opinion itself.

What records are needed?

The exact list depends on the condition and proposed procedure. It commonly includes consultation notes, echocardiography, catheterization, CT or MRI studies, laboratory results, and relevant hospital records. You may upload what you have and authorize the records team to help collect the rest.

How much does a heart surgery second opinion cost?

After your complimentary conversation, we email the package we recommend, what it includes, and the secure next step. There is no cost to talk to us. Higher service levels add a live physician consultation, and Concierge adds Heart Team consultation and access until the day of surgery. WHITEGLOVEMD is direct-pay and does not submit an insurance claim.

Does every package include a written report?

Yes. Every package includes the complete record review by a cardiac surgeon and cardiologist and a co-signed written WHITEGLOVE Insights™ report. Higher tiers add live consultation and support.

What if I have urgent symptoms right now?

WHITEGLOVEMD is not an emergency service. Call 911 or seek immediate local emergency care for chest pain, severe shortness of breath, fainting, new weakness, or other urgent symptoms.
