Who reviews each heart surgery case?
Every review includes two independent physician perspectives: a cardiac surgeon and a cardiologist. The written report is co-signed by both reviewers.
Do I need to gather all of my records myself?
No. You can upload the records you already have. With your authorization, the records team can help request the remaining reports, notes, testing, and imaging needed for review.
How quickly is the review completed?
The 24-hour review window begins only after all required medical records and imaging are received and confirmed complete. If something is missing, the records team will identify it and can help with collection.
How much does the written heart surgery second opinion cost?
After your complimentary conversation, we email the package we recommend, what it includes, and the secure next step. The WHITEGLOVE Insights™ written review includes independent review by a cardiac surgeon and cardiologist and one co-signed patient-facing report. There is no cost to talk to us.
Can I speak live with the reviewing physicians?
Yes. The written review is the starting point. Consultation packages add live time with one reviewing physician or with both members of the WHITEGLOVE Heart Team.
What kinds of cardiac decisions can be reviewed?
Reviews may address bypass surgery, valve surgery, transcatheter options, aortic surgery, redo operations, atrial fibrillation procedures, heart failure surgery, and other major cardiac decisions when sufficient records and imaging are available.
Is this a replacement for my current surgeon or cardiologist?
No. WHITEGLOVEMD provides educational decision support and independent medical-record review. The service is designed to help you ask better questions and make the next conversation with your treating physicians more useful.
Do I need a referral or need to travel?
No referral is required, and the record review is completed remotely. If a different surgeon or center deserves consideration, your report can help frame that next conversation.
What if I have urgent symptoms right now?
